Lapet (The Heating Compress)
It is a cold compress covered up in such a manner that warming of the wrapped surface starts soon. A cotton cloth is wringed out of cold water and wrapped around the affected area. Then a woollen dry cloth is wrapped over it.
- Complains related to chest region like Asthma, Bronchitis, cold, cough, etc.
- Complains related to abdominal region like Gastritis, Indigestion, Hyperacidity, poor blood circulation, etc.
- Complains related to Throat like Hoarseness, Tonsilitis, Pharyngitis, etc.
- Complains related to joints in treating inflammation, pains and stiffness etc.
Wet Girdle Pack
Wear a thin under wear wrung in cold water. Then wear dry thick / woollen underwear over it.
It is useful in treating Genito urinary problems and all pelvic related problems like different menstrual ailments, Appendicitis, Piles, Fibroid, inflammation, congestion, etc.
Gastro Hepatic (GH) Pack
Fomentation bag filled with warm water is applied on the abdomen covering the last rib and the umbilicus, extending up to the line of liver and spleen, while a cold bag is applied to the lumbar spine. Both bags reverse application is called kidney pack. Wrap a dry cotton / khadi cloth and flannel / warm cloth over this.
This pack is extensively used for the treatment of Diabetes Mellitus, indigestion and hepatic conditions.
Kidney Pack
Place hot water bag to cover middle to lower back. Apply ice bag to cover lower part of the chest bone and stomach. Wrap a dry cotton / khadi cloth and flannel / warm cloth over this.
It is useful in congestion of kidney, Albuminuria, etc.
